I was doing the same until public beta access for Planetary Annihilation came out...
...this was the end of it! :D

But it´s proberbly the only game I enjoy playing AGAINST random ones. (playing in team with a friend of mine)
Other genres: Dislike MMOs (too static, PlayerInteraction would need to be on another scale), dislike Multiplayershooters (got the idea, but not my cake!), dislike Online-Multiplayer-Racers (racing against unknown others? Meh!)

Could think of playing turnedbased stuff against others, but am more interested in campaigns...
I used to play Age of Kings online a lot (anyone else remember the Blood maps? Castle Blood I think was the one I played mostly) and I played Counterstrike a lot before Valve started messing with it and releasing new versions (and Steam).

Never really played online much since and it doesn't really appeal anymore.

I've always fancied playing an MMO, but don't have the time to devote to it and have never seen one that really grabs me. I was really interested in the original Warhammer Online (not the one that actually got made, the one that was cancelled) but obviously that never panned out...

To me I don't have much time for gaming and you can't really just save and drop out of multiplayer (especially with strangers) as easily as you could a singleplayer game.
