Why release the series up to 6 and stop there? Do you think we will see 7+8+9?

Maybe because they know that anyone who is interested in playing the Ultima series will be busy enough with the currently released games? No point releasing all the Ultima games at the expense of fans of other genres. I'm sure 7, 8 and 9 will be released in the future.
We will see them but just not yet. Patience.
They released 1, 2 and 3 a couple weeks before 4, 5 and 6; did you think they were going to stop at 3 back then?
As long as VIII is the patched version that edits out having to jump on sinking rocks in the Halls of the Mountain King, we're golden. Ultima 9 should be here just so people play it and learn how to NOT make a game unless we somehow get Ultima 9 with the Bob White plot :D.

Yes, and they're planning to kill a puppy every time somebody asks.

Seems to be the obvious next step.

Seems reasonable to me, how else are people going to learn to not ask stupid questions? At least they aren't clubbing baby seals.
If I recall correctly, they said that they have 25 or something EA releases coming, and thus far there have only been 14. Obviously that means that they cannot release Ultima 7 to 9 anymore, as it would be against the laws of Crimson King, and they'd be taken to his court. :p

Well they still had a bunch to go on the ??? EA release schedule at that time.

You're right.

But hopefully it will end up being way more than 25. : ) And expansions. :P
I would bet my fanny that 7, 8 and 9 are separate releases however. $5.99 for each, VII having both releases.

Those plus Lands of Lore will probably be 4 of the last 8 or so releases.

They still have a bunch to go now (at least 5 more titles). Not to mention, they only said this was the first batch of EA titles, there will be more at some future date.

IIRC, the announcement was that they had 25+ EA titles to release. There have been 14 releases, but 20 different EA titles in those 14 releases.

Depends if you count the individual titles in the Ultima packs and WC1&2 as separate. If you don't, then they have even more titles to come out with!

If you count each pack as a release and we are going to get 25 releases total then we have 11 more to go in the first batch as they've only released 14 of the 25 titles in the first 2 rounds. So agreed, even in this first batch they have plenty more to go. And like you said they won't stop at only 25 EA classics forever. EA has a ton of games it's been sitting on that GOG will want.

EDIT: Ninja'd by you yourself :)

My reasoning was based on posts like these. Being an optimist, I extrapolated that to other EA bundles as well.

In that case, as crazy_dave mentioned, there are still 11+ releases releases to go, certainly more than enough to not need to worry about the rest of the Ultima games just yet.
