Daedalus1138: ...Lost Odyssey...

Enebias: Oh, yes, Lost Odyssey! That is one of the few JRPGs I found to be really great, along with Chrono Trigger and Dragon Quest V. Definitely an underrated gem.
+1, my favourite JRPG since PSX era.
I don't care, either is fine, but I enjoy real-time gameplay a lot more for both strategy and action games.

Grargar: My preferences are simple; Turn-based if you are controlling a party or real-time if you are on your own. There are some exceptions like Tales of Symphonia, but otherwise, my preferences are pretty much set in stone.
And yes, I'm aware that Baldur's Gate/Icewind Dale are real-time, but they are still not 100% real-time, what with the pause button and adherence to the D&D rules or something.
I'm pretty much the same : I prefer realtime when I'm playing a lone adventurer (more immersive this way), but I need the game to be turn-based (or realtime-with-active-pause-where-you-can-give-the-orders, which is pretty much another form of turn-based game) when I play a party.
