For consoles - yes, I'm waiting for Super Smash Bros. 4 3DS.
For PC - it looks like not anymore. My new games comes from GOG.
Sometimes, mainly when I find retail copies on discount (sometimes cheaper than a digital download) or when it offer DRM version that doesn't exist as a digital download.
Nope. Unless you're talking about console games. Most games these days seem to require Steam or some other online shop anyways, which greatly reduced the utility of having a physical edition. What's more, I lack the storage space to handle all those boxes.
Very rarely these days. It depends on which represents the best deal. Naturally I'm taking convenience into account and placing a value on that when making a decision. But mostly I purchase just digital stuff now.
No, I don't. I only buy (DRM-Free) games from digital stores.
I continue to buy physical copies from time to time but only games without the need of internet activation - mostly old games. And i prefer to buy the original editions with their printed manual, not ''sierra best sellers' etc. The latest games i bought were Starcraft, Age of Empires 2 & Rise of Legends.
I would love to but the occasional exception aside no. I don't trust them anymore since its Steam/UBI/EA/similar online drm store locked anyway & I do not waste my time and money on that. GOG only at the moment.
Yes.
no, i think the last box that i bought was 7-10 years ago or something.
and I'll never ever buy another one.
I buy only digital and only from gog.
gog dies in the future or becomes some steeaam bullshit? then i'll quit gaming.
If I can get a physicall copy DRM free I'll always buy it, even if digital would be cheaper. DRM is the only reason I buy digital versions at all.

I have never bought a physical copy of a computer game. I buy physical for consoles, though — I only have Nintendo ones and Nintendo doesn't make their online store available here for some shitty reason.
When they're cheap and need no online activation, yes.
Only if I can't find the game online.
I prefer to buy physical, even if there's not much difference between digital data on a DVD and digital data I've downloaded. I just like the feeling of having the game physically. That said, I won't pay something like 2-3x the price for a physical copy if I can get one digitally that much cheaper.

After physical is DRM free. If I can't get a game physically, then I at least try to get it from GOG, Humblestore, etc., without DRM.

After that I try to get games without horribly intrusive DRM. I guess this varies for a lot of people, but for me it's something like Steam or another store. I don't consider them that bad of services more as I just prefer other services. I usually go on the cheap end for these stores unless it's something I really want. I just don't want StarForce or something on my computer.

For consoles, I always buy physically unless it's something I really, really want (Megaman 9 & 10, for example, since I'm a sucker for that series). That's mostly due to the unopen nature of the platforms. On PC, if the digital games I have/own go out of business or disappear from store fronts, I'll always have torrents and other methods of getting the game. As time has gone on, more and more games have been easily and publicly archived. Unless you go through some mildly complicated steps that might land you a brick, playing back up copies of any game on consoles is a pain. Next step after that would be emulation, but for systems like the PS3 and 360, we're already several years off. Nevermind the power required to emulate those systems since even the PS2, GCN, and Wii currently can't be emulated fully without an OC'd i5/i7. It's just more convenient to hold onto the cart or disc on consoles by a long shot.

Not even those that came bundled with gaming magazines back in the 90s?

Even if we did have Nintendo's eShop it still wouldn't be worth it. Nintendo's digital games are as expensive as physical copies, not to mention that purchases are tied to your console. If your console dies for some reason you would lose everything you purchased. Not a good deal.
