So with the recent announcement that the new Monster Hunter game is going to be on the 3DS, it leads to much dissappointment for me.

Why? Well simply put 'Hardcore' gamers in the west do not use portables anywhere near as much as people in japan that's just a fact and it's so annoying that their past monster hunter titles have been on the most niche hardcore markets in the west (Monster Hunter Tri on the Wii? are you even trying capcom?). It seems like they are missing out on so much uptapped market in the EU/US just waiting for it to be released on other systems so they can throw their money at capcom.

My main question is why won't they release a monster hunter game on the Consoles or PC aswell? The last console based monster hunter game was on the PS2 (how pathetic is that?) Surely it's not hard to do and would make them a shit ton more cash than they get from releasing the games in EU/USt on 3DS, Wii, PSP etc. I'm not saying they should boycott the handhelds but just developer it for BOTH handheld and Console/PC it just seems to me they are being very uptight about it and completely ignoring a huge market outside of japan.

What are your thoughts on this? Why do you think they aren't making new Monster Hunter games on systems that EU/US people play more... I see no reason not to all i see if profit profit profit for Capcom.
Defining "Hardcore gamers" and "niche markets" are completely separate debates until themselves, and are phrases usually bandied about by 12 year olds. And what makes you think any Capcom employee of import is going to read your post on a board hosted by a distributor of old games? "Why yes, I think I'll check out the forums of sellers of twenty year old games to get a feel for the current market population's opinions". Why not try writing your grievances on Capcom's dedicated boards?
Capcom is weird, really. They're like Nintendo level of incomprehensible. Still, they've put out some great games, it's not all minor iterations of the same fighting game (or a crossover from some less popular fighting games), so I'm grateful for that.

Seriously, if you can't get it legally and it's really something you want to, play it anyway. Sometimes you just can't get the shit you want in the area you live, it sucks, but interesting culture is interesting culture.

He doesn't seem to be complaining about things not getting released, he seems to be complaining that they release things on systems that he doesn't like.

He mentions "Tri" in the second paragraph, but complains that it's on the Wii.

Capcom don't make Monster Hunter for the West. They make it for Japan and then simply localise it to make a bit more cash. So obviously it's going to be on a preferred system for Japan as opposed to one in the West...

I bet dollars to donuts it comes out on PSVita as well, whenever that launches.
