Thanks for the heads up on the Twitch broadcast Raze.

Wow, hard to believe only a few days of waiting left!
For those still in doubt, additional official confirmation of GOG day 1 release of Divinity Original Sin from Larian employee:

micktiegs_8: As I said to skeleton, I didn't say the game wouldn't come to gog at all, I was speculating it's date. And to clarify, there are many games that are only on Steam that don't have DRM and/or the necessity to launch Steam to play them. Just because a game says it's DRM free doesn't mean it comes to gog by default.

Coelocanth: Not sure if you saw my edit, but if you didn't the tl:dr version is Larian sent an e-mail to backers that I feel implies the game will be here on June 30th.

Not sure if your last comment was aimed at me, but if it was, I never implied that DRM-free automatically means GOG.
oops, no I didn't see the edit but yes my last comment was to you. Well, maybe not to you directly but to the line 'Will this have DRM?'. In that context it seemed as if you were saying 'no DRM = gog'. My bad, C-fish :P

No worries. :)

Re the "Will this have DRM" faq question: Larian's answer to that faq question is one of the places they mention GOG on their kickstarter page. That's why I tossed that in there.
So it was released today, it better be here tomorrow for a Tuesday release.
I was able to redeem.
If you search for "divinity" in the search box above, it will turn out a divinity original sin entry, which you can click on to see that it is, in fact "coming soon." I would post the link, but that's not allowed (for me anyway).

Thanks, I found it. I can't wait until they let me buy it though.

I have no idea if this article is at all accurate:

http://www.examiner.com/article/how-gog-screwed-up-the-divinity-original-sin-release

But the author claims it won't be available to non KS backers until August 31st. I have my GOG copy but I hope that's not true for everyone else's sake.

I've read the messages from the devs linked in this thread and it's clear it seems they don't want to bother to make drm-free patches (meaning : non-steam) for the game because that makes "double work" so it makes sense it will be only be available when the gog client is ready...

They're lucky I don't live in Gent otherwise I would gladly punch them in the face as a potential customer (according to the Belgian business database their postal adress is 70A Stapelplein)

Edit: oh yeah, I also forgot to say the article writer is a total asshole for putting the blame on gog only.

For those who haven't seen it already, GOG has provided a status update about this game, what happened and why, and what they plan on doing about it now to try and correct the situation:

Ah, thank you, and thanks to daveyd for the article.

I don't really believe that GOG is giving us the whole story here.

jamyskis: Probably over LAN only, so it should be fine if you want to play with your wife. Online play will probably be limited to the Steam version, as it was with Divinity: Dragon Commander.

JudasIscariot: We have online play in our version of Dragon Commander with direct IP. Yes, I know it's not the same as the other version but online does exist in our version as well :)
Well GOG Galaxy comes to help. Larian anounces that D:OS is going to be integreted with Galaxy.

so no worries :)
