Hi everybody,

So i bought Divinity ( Collector version with the box *.* ) but i can only activate it through steam ? Is there a way to have in on GOG and not to connect via Steam ?

Thanks for answering and sorry for bad english
It appears that all boxed editions of D:OS contain a Steam installer on the DVD and thus must be activated on Steam, but you don't need the Steam client to play the game except for non IP or LAN multiplayer - see here for more details.
And as far as I know, there's no way to redeem the game on GOG instead of Steam.

Sorry for the bad news.

Okay , thank you very much for your answer :)
Hi there. :-)

The setup version is 2.3.0.6 and I wonder if I still need the patch v2.3.0.7.
I'm a lil' bit confused right now.
You probably don't need it (unless, perhaps, you're playing co-op with someone whose version has it), but you won't get the fixes from the patch if you don't use it.
So does this mean we can expect GOG Galaxy by the end of August? Perhaps a way to beta test just the client early or even some more info by then?

I'm pretty sure Galaxy was confirmed for August 31 (the date until which GoG was originally going to hold Original Sin!)

Weird.

I thought that the main game setup was updated to the version that the patch v2.3.0.7 shows after the installation. I thought that we don't need to download the patch when we have the updated game setup v2.3.0.6. Someone said that the main game shows the version v1.0.57 and the patch doesn't change that number.

GOGs and Larians intended release Date vof Original Sin here was "End of August" because of the Galaxy integration. I already bought it and didn't played much, want to start now and don't want to miss the Galaxy Achievements - if available...

So, we have midst of September now and no sign of a Galaxy release... Can I start playing because an more or less open beta will is still month away or are we talking about days or weeks?

While I can't say anything regarding possible Galaxy-Achievements - I can point you to this article on GameStar.de:

http://www.gamestar.de/spiele/divinity-original-sin/news/divinity_original_sin,48271,3078354.html

They say, in the new patch is a free DLC included ("The bear and the burglar"), which adds two new compagnions.

The catch is - you have to start anew...because the DLC will not work with the old savegames.
So - good for players, who waited for now, I guess...I'll wait a little longer and see, what there is still to come.

Nice, that they add new stuff - not so nice, that you have to start all over again, whenever they add something.
