I was looking through the internet and found the online discount site that sells the games with 50% and more discount directly from the game developer's store. It basically links you the developer's store and adds the discount so that there are no intermediary's. The site (owned by Positech Games) is run by developers and was featured in a rockpapershotgun article on Saturday.

Currently you have following games discounted:

- Infested Planet 50% off
- Retro City Rampage 50% off
- Revenge of the Titans 75% off
- Beat Hazard Ultra 60% off
- The Blackwell Epiphany 40% off
- Democracy 3 75% off
- Gone Home 50% off
- Loren the Amazon Princess 66% off
- Frozen Synapse 50% off
- Bionic Dues 75% off
- Sir, You Are Being Hunted 50%
- Defender's Quest 67% off

Yep, I saw this page yesterday but I found the general website more interesting than the discount, it reminds you the games you've missed (or still waiting in your backlog). Gotta love the chosen image bor Bionic Hearts 2 in the rpg section, it's quite.. interesting...

BTW, not the first time for this type of "direct sales discounts", there was one 1 or 2 years ago called "not on steam" with Race The Sun, Tiny Barbarians, etc.
Frozen Synapse is totally worth getting if you don't have it yet. If you like tactical strategy games than you need to get it! Look up WTF Is Frozen Synapse by TotalBuiscuit to find out more.

Thanks for post this info Matruchus, though there arn't games on it that I'm interested in that I don't already own, It's good to see some great games seeing the light of day again :P

Also if any of you own Frozen Synapse I'd more than welcome to challenging you to a game.

EDIT: I just noticed Beat Hazard Ultra and just in case people were wondering, it does not give you Steam Workshop support like it advertises. You have to pay 5$ for a DLC that gives you the Workshop Support. Just so you guys know now.

Thanks for the Info - never heard about the other discount offers years ago. Eitherway its a good way to try to get more people buy indie developers games and directly support them.

It was last year and had a lot of good titles. I picked up several then, including the aforementioned Race The Sun (before it landed on GOG). Some of the other titles, such as Leviathan: The Last Day of the Decade and The Yawhg, would be interesting to have here as well.
3 more days left in the sale. Still time to check it up. Link in the thread post.

Also the main showmethegames website is quite a nice game review and developer interview website: http://www.showmethegames.com/index.php?src=dirt1

After reading this I had to go and check it, I found it immediately without even reading what game it belonged to, I guess the typical......"It´s not what it seems" fits right there :P
I was about to buy Bionic Dues till I realized that the site asks all sorts of personal information that are entirely unnecessary (why the fuck do you care about my street address and my freaking phone number?!).
At first I thought this was about the squad action wargame Dirty Dozen getting digitally distributed. But it was actually named Deadly Dozen :D

It's a common procedure with Fastspring (and other payments services like BMTmicro or esellerate) to minize frauds. Until recently, I always had to put my personal infos for a transaction on steam even when it was through paypal.

Well, with Steam you can use Paysafe vouchers instead of bothering with cards and on GOG, aside Paysafe Vouchers, you can use Visa cards without entering anything other than the card's info (Card Number, Security Code, Expiration Date and Cardholder's Name). Requiring so much personal info just for a digital purchase is stupidly excessive.
Apparently, the sales did good so there should be another one before the end of the year:
