Actually, when I said that you could talk with friends, I meant with friends that play any Battle.net 2.0 game, as the games now feature a cross-game chat. Meaning that I can play Starcraft 2 and chat with my buddies that play WoW or Diablo 3, without installing anything. It is all build in the games.

bazilisek: To keep the thread properly derailed, does anyone sell those two? Blizzard store doesn't seem to carry them. I've never played the sequel (for shame!), and I haven't paid for the first one back in the day, either.
Sadly, no. I've tried contacting them multiple times, but the only answer I've received is that they don't have any plans for doing a rerelease.

Gonna contact them again in a few days.

Vestin: I'm simply saying Diablo 3 is. It's been designed with all sorts of interactions between players in mind - calling this "always-online DRM" is puzzling and annoying at best.
Except most of those "interactions" are pure bollocks added artificially that have no reason to exists except to force peoples to use Battle.Net even for solo play, once again that's exactly what they already tried to do with Starcraft 2.

It's like if Ubi decided to add a chat feature to uPlay and that suddenly peoples started saying that it was no longer an always online DRM because of all the interaction between players it allowed.

Vestin: Sure - it's now designed to be a 4player game, like Magicka, Left4Dead or Borderlands...
Three games that can be played offline (unless it changed for L4D2)... great examples...

orcishgamer: I wish people would cut out the "next checkpoint/waypoint" thing, unless D3 works differently you'll lose the entire map, not just the next waypoint, all monsters will respawn even in areas you've been to. So if you backtrack for some reason, yep, the world is reset.

klaymen: More monsters = more grinding for loot and since Diablo is only about loot whoring, fanboys will crap their pants out of sheer happiness.
No they won't, they want a Mephisto boss of some kind to grind for 8 hours straight, trash mobs drop lower iLevel gear:)
omfg this sword is back :O

Wow that looks pretty damn nice a possible 71% extra damage for wizards.

Now that item also has me worried. I hope they don't do class based things regularly with items. The last thing I want is most the items to be class based in diablo 3. It has me worried about how customizable the classes will be with items for strange non cookie cutter builds.
