orcishgamer: I was a warrior, I was glad the priests had something super fun and different to do since they got the short end of the stick so often. I never did get to MC Raz's students, though, I think it would have been fun. I did get to dps, though, and with so much fury gear I'd regularly get bitch slapped by Raz. Being in a high end guild yourself you probably know how much amazing off-spec gear you can pile up (oh god, the Heigan pants, talk about getting envy from the whole server until they became more common).
Yeah, my priest had better dps gear than most mages/locks did, even some in other raiding guilds. Robes from Maexxna (iirc), double spellpower trinkets, gloves from the green dragons
and the stupidly overpowered ebony flame gloves from BWL, the whole array. Most of them didn't get replaced until TBC raids. Got lots of jealousy too :)
orcishgamer: I was a dick, though, I looted Maex's Fang after the 8th one dropped with none of the warrior swords ever dropping anywhere (seriously, our rogues and people's raid specced rogue alts had it by then, some newbie was along so I could have passed it... just had some shitty BWL one hander that needed replacing).
In my case it was getting a friend to masterloot me the heart of hakkar from ZG for the spellpower trinket after getting passed over about a dozen times for it ("healers don't need damage" -_- )
We had a lot of trouble with warrior weapons too. Our MT got one of the bindings of the windseeker on our first MC run and
never got the other. It dropped the one, single week he wasn't there. We got one, single Ashkandi. Tank weapons almost never dropped.
But we got about a billion rogue weapons. Including a rogue with Thunderfury, just to rub it in.
