Btw, is this a standalone game or just part 1 of a series ending with a cliffhanger or something like that? I think I heard that GOG might have rejected it on account of being part of a yet unfinished series, but maybe I'm confusing it with The Journey Down (because of that one I know they did).

It's part one, with the sequel planed later this year, in German (no info yet about the English version). It has an ending and while I wouldn't call it a "cliffhanger" it's definitely sequel baiting.
