predcon: Cops in Virgina are detonating two-litre bottles filled with any kind of liquid because ONE person made a bomb by taking advantage of the chemical reaction of aluminum foil and chlorine or bleach or whatever. If they remembered their high school chemistry, they would know that if the bottle's been sitting on that lawn for several hours to a day, and hasn't exploded yet, then it probably won't because whatever chemical reaction that was supposed to have occurred would have done so already.

I've noticed that. Why someone would deliberately hamper their productivity by hiring his septuagenarian grandmother who takes ten to fifteen minutes PER CUSTOMER because she's not computer literate and can't operate the digital cash register over a completely qualified me, who's spent his entire adult life doing administration work on computers, is beyond me.

Lord help me if I wasn't white. {EDIT} That's not fair. But it's often hard to tell in this "progressive" age who is and who isn't still stuck in the 1800's. There was a kid who's dad made him quit the ROTC course I was taking in college because it was "mixed".{/EDIT}
