WTF.

I got Dead Space on Steam, eventually downloaded it fully and started playing. Works epically, full res 1920 x 1080 and everything on max. All's good until I fix teh carriage and jump in to move to the Medical zone (stage 2)... EVERY TIME I try to load it, it freezes before completing the load. WTF.

I tried changing the screen res, the settings, everything.

Went to Steam - they state that if it is not a problem with the client loading or whatever, then I am supposed to go to EA themselves and inquire but their interface is... PAINFUL.

So I thought I'd ask on here first - might be something mind-bogglingly simple...?

Cheers in advance - much frustration as this game is AWESOME.

After you pointed that out, I looked into Steam a bit more, right clicked the game and went further into the options and found the option. 9 files failed. Much relief.

So, thank you for that! I didn't realise they had this opiton - bonus! Didn't want to download the WHOLE smegging game again man. Now to wait for the download to finish - here's to hoping it's not one of the huge files....

Peace

EDIT: Sweet, it was only 117 MB. Testing now.

Despite you giving me a solved I'm not sure it fixed it, but I hope it did!

Steam sometimes leaves files out and it causes these kinds of problems, mostly freezing when loading. It doesn't happen that often, but it does happen.
