Just finished watching Downfall on Netflix streaming. What did you think! The only part that really annoyed me was the whole "space Indian" guy. I did like the blanks it filled in for me regarding the first game, and it was interesting to see the eye-stabbing scene from a different perspective than the security camera footage found in the game.
I played through the game (and fisined it) and saw Downfall, too. Both were a pointless waste of time.
The entire uber-violence and gore aspect of the series is to provide cheap thrills - nothing more. It has no purpose other than to provide some cheap shock value.

And no, I don't want to play the sequel and I'm not waiting for it. It's going to be a lousy game and nothing's going to change that.

Except for all the people that really enjoy the games. Keep in mind that many people would disagree with you.
I enjoyed both. I liked the game (except for the regenerator), and I thought the movie was interesting. I do wish we'd seen more of the workings of the Ishimura, though. I'm interested in Aftermath too.

And to ignus, if such is true, why bother replying?
Dead Space is a pretty cool game. I hated Downfall.
Well... Downfall was cool, even thou not really anywhere near great.

But the game was made to be the playable equivelent of a slasher horror movie, thats sort of the whole point
It was better than the game itself.
