That's the best unlockable gun ever.

It has a bit annoying sound .
Best pun on "hand cannon" since EWJ2.

chautemoc: I use these virtual 5.1/7.1 headphones and it's an excellent experience. 100 bucks.

Dave3d: I played all of 5 minutes of DS, couldnt rebind, uninstalled.
Thats why I want PROOF that keys can be re-bound, just the way I asked above, before I will even THINK of buying the game.
avatar
chautemoc: Pics attached..I'll try to do what you said, give me a min..
Hey chautemoc.
Were you able to re-bind End and Numpad 1 to seperate actions?
And did the seperate actions work in-game?

Thanks.

OK.
Thanks to that controls.rmp that uses the arrow keys, I have been able to play Dead Space 1.

1 more question about DS 2:
Is the movement keys and the mouse movement still seperate, like in DS 1?
Like, when you move left/right, and then try to turn yuor 'head' further with the mouse, the mouse/look turn is SO slow.
Or do they have proper support now?

This bugs big time in DS1, and yes, I have a 120hz monitor, vsync is off, and in-game mouse is turned way up.

Of course it's separate.
All that stuff is fixed in DS2..everything feels tight and natural. It couldn't be better. I couldn't play DS1 for that reason either. For PC people new to the series I would definitely recommend skipping DS1 for this reason and just watching the catch up movie in DS2 and playing that..unless you're not as stubborn as I and are willing and able to use a 360 controller (I tried and I'm useless with it).

You're welcome, sir.
Cause of the $60 thing, you mean? I'm with you on that. Not supporting EA's new $60 trend...

Since mouse and keyboard turning aren't connected good(if at all), you have to turn with your mouse only to turn your field of view then your body will play catchup. I personally use mouse ofr turning and keyboard for forward back and strafing.
for some reason i'm not interested in Dead Space 2, even though i played the first one and really liked it.

If you played and liked the first, it's unfathomable you wouldn't like this one too, and likely even more.

Yeah, Dead Space 2 takes all that was great about Dead Space and adds even more awesome stuff. Better level design, better graphics, better shooting, awesome anti-gravity sequences and more varied suits and weapons.

About the only area it could possibly be worse than the original in is story.

I agree for the most party, especialy since you brought up the story.

But i felt that DS2 also has less varied gameplay since there are fewer unique bosses and fewer and easier zero grav areas. Somehow it felt like it had less minigames too but I guess its about the same with the new hacking and flight sequences.

Anyone tried beating it on the hardest mode (3 saves) yet ?
