apparently the fact that all it's rivals in superhero MMO's are now F2P finally hit them in the face...
Beta was fun. I don't have the time to devote to a paid subscription, but I'll definitely play it as F2P. It's a nice action game that had some MMO thrown into the mix.

I knew that Champions Online IS f2p, but City of Heroes is still monthly fee, isn't it?

Freedom released last week it's in subscriber head start at the moment and should open to everyone in *checks length of sale left* 180 hours time...
I'll give it a shot. Superhero fan but not of monthly fees and I like how it's more action based than stat or number crunching based.
Well they win, because now I will try it.

Thanks! That is a great news, been wanting to try this game since that awesome trailer with bad-add Superman. Now I'll have a chance.
I played it right after release and ran a few characters to the cap. It is a lot less tedious because the combat is more action-y. The customization is a little shallow to start but you find new armor along the way. I solo'd (the only reason I play MMO's is because there is no equivalent RPG - DC custom character with DC character interaction) and had a blast for a three months. At the time hitting the cap was fast but the endgame was light.

I may go back now. Oh, Batman: AC is around the corner, never mind.
