I didn't notice a post so I thought I would mention it. It's available both from the SOE site and Steam now and the limitations don't seem too bad. TBH I'm enjoying this more than any other MMO I have played because it's a very polished game and I seem to have no problem playing solo. I would highly recommend playing with a controller though as it was designed with the PS3 in mind as well.
Nothing is truly free to play.

Actually it is. You can only make 2 characters, you have a small inventory and there is a limit to the amount of cash you can hold. If you can live with that then it's free.

So you don't have to purchase items with credits you can only get by purchasing them with real life money to become powerful? Sweet. :)
I hear the endgame is crap, but for a few F2P hours that might not matter.

Played for 7 hours, no restrictions, didn't need to buy anything.

I've seen the opposite from the forums. Seems the game really opens up when you hit level 30. They seem to consider levels 1-30 the training.
