I have been looking for the pc version of this great classic for some time now and was wondering when it would makes its way here on GOG?

Vote for it here in the meantime: gog.com/en/wanted, and welcome to GOG.
(I think you can get this game in most eBay like outlets for cheap though. And it is also on PS1 as well(which can run on most PS3s btw).)

already have the ps1 version and it is horrendous compared to the pc version that tried out at a friends house. but i guess ill just have to buy it through amazon.

I used to play Darkstone a lot on PC. It was sort of my Diablo clone of choice. I had a buddy I'd play with modem-to-modem. Considering what a dull dungeon-crawler it is (in hindsight) it's surprising I wasted so much time on it. But, I used to be more easily amused.
I actually remember it more for its music video today than the game itself, a power ballad done in folk-rock style by some obscure French band named "Audren." It was included on the game disc.

... Gets an apple out of the infinite apple generator of Awesome. Seriously did anyone ever complete that quest by giving away the most valuable item in the game? :)
