Used to have this one ..would love to see it here..
Also , remember Hexplore?
No, Hexplore doesn't ring any bells, but last time I played Darkstone, it had aged horribly. Shame really.
I'd really like to see Darkstone on GOG, too! I still play it on my XP machine, but it doesn't get along well on Windows 7 for me. Anyway, it would be nice just to have it pre-patched and without a disc check.
Heh, played both these games as a wee lad, good times. Darkstone had some interesting ideas, but it was, in essence, a poor man's Diablo (those were pre-Diablo 2 times). Also had this song when you throw a gold coin to the musicians in town: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4R8YZQ8HAwI

I still catch myself humming the music from Hexplore after all those years... Excellent crawler, with somewhat irritating controls and a kick-ass intro. Not sure I'd wish to go back to it though.
I think on Hexplore you had to kill something called Glores..lol
I was hooked on that song also..

Characters in the Darkstone game also aged horribly. That's one thing I do not quite like from RPG... ageing heroes :-)
This certainly brings back memories, I still have the PS1 version of the game. I never really got into it, but I loved the theme song. Nice thing about this game, was that this was one of those PS1 games where you can easily rip the song onto your computer :)

Now I feel like digging the game out and giving it another shot.

I much preferred a game called Revenant - it was nothing brilliant but it aged far less and it was a decent RPG at the time:

I liked Darkstone alot, I still have the game, so I must dig it out, also, Revenant, I still have that too, must see if it will run on win7. I still have Throne of Darkness a japanese themed isometric game, well worth checking out.
