I just started the game today and I couldn't belive it. "no menu screen at all, the game just literaly starts as soon as you boot it up" I went to the graphics settings and the only thing I could configure was vsync and screen resolution! I didn't panic, I thought "oh I must need to go into program files and configure the settings there like in witcher 2" Nope!

After looking on the internets its confirmed, darksiders 2 has no graphic settings . Lol will games in the future have one of two options only casual mode and xbox controller mode?
No, but console games ported to the PC may offer that. Read about what you buy.

who said I bought it? :) at, any rate how hard would it be for a developer to ad these basic features that 100% of pc gamers expect.

But it is a pure port with almost no additional work done on it. A PC gamer shouldn't expect any customization out of it.
The first Darksiders had this same problem. It still sold lots so they didn't care at all.

In the future you could try, I dunno, not pirating games.
Darksiders 1 had no visual settings other than resolution either, so it confuses me people are surprised.

It's still much better than the console versions... 1080p (or higher) native, better framerate, FXAA forced through your GPU control panel, etc. etc...

Plug in a gamepad and enjoy by far the best version of the game.

I don't dispute that Darksiders may have been visually more pleasing on PC, but it was really, really well done on console, actually one of the more polished and nice console games. I'd put it right up there with Space Marine.

Yeah. I am mainly arguing against the idea some people have where a lack of massive upgrades tailored to the PC platform means you "might as well play it on console." If you have a gaming PC there is still plenty of reason to play it there instead.

Yeah, especially if it's been out for awhile, any problems are fixed, it may be cheaper to boot. Of course, I'm assuming a gaming rig of equal comfort (like hooked up so you can sit on your couch, PC game on your TV or whatever you prefer).
'course make sure it's an Xbox controller you plug in when playing the first game because having -ANY- kind of video game related input device plugged in besides a keyboard and mouse will send the game into lock-out mode where it auto-deactivates KB+M input and forces you to Xbox controller mode.

it did this to me because I had my N52te plugged in, sorry $10 poorly ported "game" I'm gonna uninstall you before I uninstall my $70 piece of hardware.
