orcishgamer: Wow, I do not remember having that issue on the console version. That bites. Does using focus help? There are definitely a few areas where a pillar or something will obscure your view of the baddy. I think I recall being about to rotate my camera in the console version, can you hold right mouse button and move it around?

Virama: I've been trying to use my Logitech controller for this game... *sigh* And no, it's not broken or anything - works absolutely mint for SFIV on PC.

Guess I'll have to try it with mouse/keyboard then... *sobs* BRB to verify its just a controller issue.

EDIT: EHHHHHH!!!! It WAS the controller fucking it up.... Very interesting. When I unplugged the controller and started the game it was perfectly fine. WHY MEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE?????????

*gives in and plans on buying a fucking X350 for PC controller since every fucking game seems to demand one to be perfectly compatible - I'm so over reconfigging the buttons every single game*
Like I said before to someone else, XBox 360 controllers in unpopular colors are way cheaper, I don't know about down under but you can get pink or white for 20 bucks US if you keep checking slickdeals.net for a week or so one always shows up.

I've noticed if I'm pushing an analog stick at all while a game's trying to calibrate it fucks up and keeps pushing the opposite direction when it should be neutral, I'm assuming you're familiar with this and that's not what happened?

Yeah sorry about that, I like my MERC Stealth keyboard as the software comes preconfigured for every game and I just select my game and boot in, it's already got a great default which I can make a custom config off of if I like. There's gotta be a gamepad that does the same, but dunno, not a gamepad guy. I do like dual analog for games like Darksiders though...:(

pkt-zer0: Go and grab X360CE instead, an X360 controller emulator. Works just fine (most of the time).
I didn't know about this project, nice call!

chautemoc: Wireless is better.
I hate wireless. Vastly prefer cords.
Cables are the best but I have to admit that the wireless controllers on the 360 & PS3 have been far better than I expected

I still go with cables, always. I hate recharging/batteries/whatever. Plus I have a cochlear implant so I'm always a bit sus of stuff that emits signals... The less the better I say.
But you might be able to hear the controller screaming LEFT! RIGHT! FIREFIREFIRE!!!

Actual lollage at that. +1

By the way, I don't use it anymore, it's just that I have the internal part is all. *shrugs and smiles*

I did this like 4 years ago. Stress-free controller gaming was the result.

Yeah true. I just never liked the Xbox controller as I said. Time to get used to it huh.

Virama: Bah. Great game so far - very cinematic and epic, only gripe I have with the keyboard controls is the "ALT + WASD for dash" command - that's slightly awkward for such an important move...
avatar
Fenixp: I switched the dash to mouse 3 and use item thing to alt. Plays a lot better that way
SOOOOOOOOOOOOO much better with this setup! Thanks a million bro! This game rules man.

You're welcome :-) Dash attacks are ... weird, since you have to press mouse 1 + 3 (not really a problem, they're next to each other, it's just ... weird :D ) and later on you'll throw disc using alt, which is annoying - still, dashing just seems way more important.
