Just testing new upgraded Zweihander, pretty decent weapon, if quite slow.

Fenixp: a) It's difficult, for which I don't give a rat's ass - actually, I'll get annoyed when forced to repeat the same bit over
b) Combat system is supposed to be fun, but ... How does it compare to my action RPG favourite, Dark Messiah?
a) There's some of that involved, but it's not as bad (so far at least) as it could be. I always feel I'm making some kind of progress. It helps that it's an open game, with several places to go and things to do. I really like the level design, how there are hidden things to find for those who pay attention.

b) Different, not as free form. But it's been ages since I played Dark Messiah.

c) Now that you mention Dark Messia, oddly enough the levels reminds me a little bit of Arkane's first game, Arx Fatalis.

d) what a silly question!

GeorgeCY: Even if you like playing on your couch with a gamepad, its very much doable with a PC as well...

orcishgamer: Yes, if they're in the same room you can wire them up, this is a bit more complex than plugging in a console, though, and even the simplest home entertainment wiring jobs seem daunting to a rather surprising number of people.

This presumes you don't need to run 30 meters of cable, though, which few of even the know-hows will do.
True, was thinking of a hidden PC next to the TV with an RF input sollution

scampywiak: A PC game should be optimized for keyboard and mouse, crazy I know. Whatever. I'm not playing the game. I just don't see how other devs can do third person camera and controls right, but they can't. Clearly they have enough fan boys to do whatever they want.
In the mid-90ies there was this new gizmo called...a mouse and it was fucking terrible. I hated the new shit and would never let the "kool kids" decide how I was supposed to play Doom. Doom is a PC game and should be played with a keyboard and not some fucking new gizmo called a mouse. That lasted until I saw a friend play Doom with a mouse and he was much better at the game because of it. So I began using the mouse also. Then I remembered that I used to use a joystick on my C64.

It's not the controls that mark you as a PC gamer but instead an openness to new things, ideas, genres etc. Sadly you have completely failed in this regard.

Thanks for the video. It really does look awesome with that fix. Death by dragon was a good way to end it :D

I have erected a shrine to this post. A small green shrine with a + symbol on it.
I've been having a love/hate relationship with this game during pre-release stage (GFWL, f*cked up graphics and so on) but damn, how could I endlessly resist to a cover inspired by Berserk and promising lots of pain? :)

I've bought it a few hours ago and wow, it really takes me back to the glorious days of Ninja Gaiden on the first x-box but even more difficult :) At least, I can play offline by shutting down GFWL, plug the laptop to the 32 inch TV, plug the x360 controller and let's roll for dozens hours of fun. DRM is bad but for 40 bucks, it's highly recommended ;)
