Hey guys i just dug up an old copy of Might and Magic Dark Messiah and i cant remember if its any good or not.Is it worth installing on my computer?

If you can get over the body awareness and the playability of the character, then it should be good

It's a decent enough game. Not excellent, but good enough to warrant another playthrough.

It is quite good tunnel game. But I wish the multiplayer was not dead :( it was quite fun.

I thought it was really fun... great hack n' slash stuff. People wanted it to be something else.

I really quite liked it for what it was. The melee combat was a lot better than most first person games, that's for sure. I also liked the fact that you could craft your own weapons using blacksmith's tools. So you'd actually melt the steel, pour it into the mould etc.

Just don't expect any major surprises from the storyline.

It was good, but some classes become really underpowered and not fun late game. Especially the archer class.

People were hoping it to be oblivion so a lot of them were disappointed. It's a fps with swords a cool physics (kick enemies into spikes, flames, off a ledge,...). It's nothing more then that but it is fun (the latter levels drag on a bit though).

It reminded me very much of Arx Fatalis (not a surprise since it's the same developer). I think it's been simplified from Arx, but if you liked the former you should enjoy Dark Messiah.

Okay I installed it and I remember it to be way better back the first time I played it, I was kind of expecting it to be as good as Arx but it wasnt even close, its still an alright game but the most fun I had playing was throwing a bale of hay at a guy and burning him :P I didnt think I would play it much so I uninstalled it. Thanks for the help guys!

Was going to play Fable 3 now that I am done with Deus Ex HR, but wow I just loaded it up and it looks and runs horrible. So screw that... this thread has now inspired my to play Dark Messiah again instead. I haven't played it since launch and never beat it...
