Help me to choose one game from this weekends sale. I already own Baldurs Gate and Planescape Torment. Thanks in advance for everybody replying in to this topic!

PS. I am not a great fan of too hard games!
- DUNGEONS & DRAGONS: DRAGONSHARD (Really easy, but not the same kind as Baldurs Gate)

- NEVERWINTER NIGHTS: DIAMOND EDITION (Really good Role Playing Game in my opinion. I would recommend this one)
There are TONS of free modules for NWN. New worlds, various styles of adventuring, stories.
I would have to go with NWN. Bear in mind the review that says the "default" adventure is a bit humdrum. For many years NWN was the only PC game I owned. It is not just the game, it's the potential of it that's incredible.

Remember that hardcore ruleset developed by that soldier in Iraq? Rations, encumbrance, real backstab rules... it was wonderful for people who enjoyed punishing themselves with gaming :).
I must second NWN, it's not very hard and when the "ogrinal" story is not so good then the Hordes of the Underdark story is just awsome.
uh...tbh honest ...if you not a fan off hard games then....should avoid D&D rpgs...but neverwinter nights is the simplest of them all....from my experience .......
If you didn't already have Planescape: Torment, I'd say get that, no question. Since you already own Planescape: Torment and Baldur's Gate 1, I would suggest either Baldur's Gate 2 or Neverwinter Nights.

BG2 is very similar to BG1, but more refined and much more expansive. The world is gigantic and intricate (you can spend well over 100 hours exploring the game's nooks and crannies even before you dig into most of the real meat of the storyline), the interface and character design is significantly refined, the story is great, and the character advancement is more robust. Baldur's Gate 2 is traditional 2nd edition DnD at it's absolute finest.

NWN struck me as very odd coming from the Baldur's Gate series, because you only had your one main hero, and a single henchman NPC that you could take with you rather than a full party of 6 adventurers. If that doesn't bug you, check it out. It uses 3rd edition D&D rules, and it's specifically designed to support player-made mods of all shapes and sizes. The original game was very long, if somewhat lackluster at times; the expansions were somewhat shorter, but better. The player-made campaigns can be absolutely incredible.

Of the two, I personally preferred Baldur's Gate 2 because of the party interaction and diversity instead of being so focused on your main hero. The Icewind Dale series is also quality dungeon-crawling, but it's much more combat-focused and generally much harder. Not so hard as to make you ragequit in frustration after dying a dozen times in a row, but it's a significant challenge. NWN is the easiest of the three.

Unless you're still missing Baldur's Gate 2, I'd second NWN, too. You'll probably need some time to adapt to it and get over the fact that it's not PS:T or BG - single character, no complete party control, lacking AI, less attractive blocky 3D graphics by default, compared to the beautifully drawn from the BG engine, possibly disappointing Campaign etc. But once you realize all the options it offers (custom single player campaigns, multiplayer, persistant worlds etc.) and the sheer amount of quality content available for free (a lot of player-made campaigns are totally different than and superior to the Official Campaign), you just have to love it. It's easily worth twice the asking price.

The IWD games are also quite good if you enjoy tactical D&D hack and slash with a party of your own creation, and they'v egot awesome soundtracks, but their stories are rather weak, IMO.

Edit: Whoops, DoctorKumquat beat me to it. What the doctor said. :)

If you're not keen on haerd games, but enjoy the style of like BG, go with Temple of Elemental Evil. Being as it's 3E the mechanics are a lot easier to understand and less stacked against the player from the word Go.

Personally though, I'd say it's a steal to buy 'em all >.>
