Bump?
I don't get it. Was that the first first-person-view game that guy in the Youtube video had seen? He seemed so excited for being able to play a game in a first-person view. Oh, ok...

I was also a bit surprised how... mediocre... the graphics looked. You could have told me it is a PS3 game, or a PC game from 2008, and I would have believed you. Animation of characters was oddly stiff and fake too, considering this game cost something like three thousand trillions to make.

Anyway, it is a GTA game. I guess it is ok, maybe I will play it in the distant future, after they have removed half of the music and cars from the game because of expired licenses and stuff.

Its probab;y Youtube's shitty compression. Besides here is a much better comparison video:

Well, the animation still seemed a bit stiff, and the character design unimpressive. But I am nitpicking, mainly due to how much money it took to make. I guess it is possibly still a good game, and I'd enjoy playing it, just like earlier GTA games.

EDIT: Ok, the animation of e.g. the lead characters seems way better than e.g. the by-standers and such? In that comparison, most improvements seemed pretty small, you really had to look for them (e.g. a shadow without jaggy edges, a neon sign reflected from the waxed floor, etc.).

I said it before and I will say it again this game is GTA San Andreas 2.0

Everything you hated about Niko Bellic GTA IV is gone. It has humor, the athmosphere is not dark and gritty.

And the big one is that missions have variety. Its not like GTA 4 where most of the missions are just shoot out skirmishes.

The Heist missions are a highlight and damn it I will say it anyway there is a mission where you have to disable Viral porn ad spam from a Game Developers Computer. I am not kidding:

Still to play that one, even if it is in my Steam account.

Will personally I never hated GTA IV with Niko Bellic and it was my first GTA game. But yeah after playing San Andreas (and to a lesser extent Vice City even though I hate playing it on PS2) I can see why older fans hated 4.

But I apppluad 4 for certain aspects. I think gunplay combat is the most intense I have ever played and characters getting shot at is the realistic I have ever seen. You shoot a guy in the leg he reacts in pain grabbing his leg.

And I like the physics engine of the game, it can lead to crazy moments.

And despite everyone hating it, I like the story as is.
When I saw that you could do a first person driveby I was intrigued. When I saw you could flip the bird after said driveby I said I have to have this.
