Is there any way for me to close the thread? This has gone off track, and even I lost interest in it.

No. We shall keep it going, as a painful reminder ; )

I like the anticipation generated by the current sale "schedule". Air-quoted that because sometimes gOg mixes it up a bit to keep us on our toes.

Fenixp: No, you don't. You're a failure, as usual. But that's ok, I still like you.
You sound just like my mother....

You could PM a GOG staffer, I guess...

N0x0ss: You can put your sarcasm aside, there's a wish list for requests, and yes, it is useless to ask for the impossible.
Youre just pulling stuff out of your ass. Why should it be impossible? Do you own a publisher or another games company to be so arrogant about YOUR point of view?

N0x0ss: Well, you might as well ask for an entire catalogue free of charge on Gog, because you'd have as much chance as getting daily discounts here, which get me back to my idea :"this topic IS useless", and not because I think so, but because the OP is just comparing 2 incomparable platforms, and asking about something that's just not gonna happen.
Hey, wait what? Incomparable platforms? How? As far as i know both offer digital games, am i correct? So, how cant se compare them, if they offer the same products? Ok, i know, GOG has a focus on old games that Steam doesnt, but we know that this is changing. GOG is moving towards newer games such as AC, Farcry 2, and even Alans Wake. So yeah, that makes them competitors in the long run. And please, dont mention the DRM BS because we all know that MOST gamers dont care about it.

Do you know why Steam had a sale for Alans Wake the same day it was released here? Because they know GOG is a competitor. You need to step out of your little world and embrace reality.

But guys, think about it. Gog makes every weekend a sale for at least 5 titles, often it's 10 games at once! Steam doesn't do that often.

Would like like to have daily deals instead of big promos on weekends? I wouldn't.

I would, actually :D I really think it would genuinely force a lot of people to visit gog daily or use RSS, people who are waiting for a certain game, and it would also make them notice new releases etc.
Ok. For me it's more likely to have some spare money on weekend rather than for every day.
