Has anyone else ever played this game or know if GOG ever plans to add it to their list, I can't seem to find it for purchase in digital format anywhere.

It's published by 1c, which is already onboard. I don't believe we will see it soon, there are there are other games from 1c we don't have yet here, but who knows. Looking at the cover it's already on gamersgate:

Edit: Would be interesting to know why it's gone from gamersgate.com but still is available on the british site. The follower Ice Crusade is still available on gamersgate.com

I have an old retail Blitzkrieg collection with Cuban missile crisis. I had problems to run it on Windows XP or Windows 7. Crash on start up. On gamersgate they have Cuban missile Crisis Ice Crusade on sale, the system requirements are Windows XP but none OS above. So i have not played it but would be interested to try it out. The apocalypse setting seems very interesting for a tactical war game.
