I think in general people on gog are a little harder on people blatantly talking about using cracks or piracy. It is one thing to say, oh I had to use this crack to get it working vs actually asking for help with a crack or how to use them. This is mostly because gog doesn't want to even appear to be a site that supports piracy.

A lot of publishers are paranoid about piracy hence the DRM and the movement to a more client-based, mmo system. GoG is going against the grain saying no, DRM does not work if you sell your games DRM-free then you will still have customers and people will not be as likely turn to turn to warez sites. Allow users to have open discussion about using warez will not help gog's case when negotiating with publishers to release their games here.

A wink, wink is one thing. Saying you are using it and asking for help with one is another.
