Even with cutting out geometry like that I would bet they still will have trimmed the level sizes down. I can't imagine that tank level fitting on the Xbox no matter how many trees they remove, for example.

But that is a good point though. Most other levels could be broken up into smaller levels, but that one probably couldn't.

In any case, it's pretty impressive that they're even able to think about doing this. The 360 is very long in the tooth now.
While it's true that Bethesda did manage pretty smooth transitions between the various segments (certainly in comparison with Morrowind, at least), we're talking about two very different engines. The Cryengine, for all its power, is no stranger to loading times.

As navagon said, very different engines with very different ways of loading in content.

Oh, believe me... once Xbots and Playslaves start either a)ripping on the game or b) talking about how much better the console port plays/looks, I'll be the first to attack.
But, for those console gamers who AREN'T a pain in the ass (and I know there are some of you out there!), I am happy for you.

Now Im curious. I have never heard those terms before, and they amuse me greatly. I feel I need to know the full list. What are Nintendo fans called, and and what are PC fans called. Also, what (if anything) is someone who has more than of of them called.

let's see... I believe I've heard Nintendo fanboys referred to as "Nintendrones." PC gamers... well, to be honest, the people who tend to insult PC gamers aren't very clever. Usually it's just "PC fag" or "PC elitist"
And if you own more than one? YOu're either a guy who owns more than one console but doesn't really brag about it, or you're one of those jerks that starts fanboy threads with "I own all three consoles, but..."

They're all filthy, filthy creatures! Only the pure shall be respected... only the pure shall be left to populate the world.
