Good to see Crytek didn't throw their toys out of the pram after the game leaked. Link
Too bad they don't provide an SP demo. I have fuck all interest in MP so that demo is useless.

Agree 100%.
Tried playing the multiplayer demo on the 360; what a waste of bandwidth that was. I tried maybe 9-10 times to get into a match, it'd take ages, all load up then instantly kick everybody out. From most of what I've seen, the multiplayer is pretty much just a call of duty rip off (i.e fast paced twitch shooter) with the armour abilities tacked on anyhow.

Multi will probably be different from singleplayer in those areas though, won't it?

I play multi on rare occasions, I like the Battlefield series, but I guess I just am not in a hurry to try it and can wait for the retail release, which I will be buying for singleplayer regardless. I freaking LOVED Crysis, so they would really have to release a stinker for me not to buy it.

I can't see there being a drastic difference, not enough to ignore the demo anyway.

Battlefield and keyboard/mouse converted me to multiplayer FPS...never thought I'd do it. I'm very excited for this. The multiplayer I am doubting I will stick with, especially with the low player count, but it does appeal to me more than before, especially with the traditional dedicated server setup versus Gamespy.

Thats the only reason I'll be getting the demo. I doubt its going to be anywhere near as ground breaking as the first one was for eating systems alive with it being out on the xbox as well but will be nice to see if its at least as graphically impressive as the previous one.

This.
Well they can't throw their toy out the pram simply because the only reason they'd do so is over the fact that they had already thrown their precious new toy out of the pram.

Yeah, same here too. I don't have much interest in multiplayer FPS at the best of times and this doesn't look like it has any place among those select few.
....Or I can just download the illegal version...(I wont.)

Screenshots/videos will show me how it looks with the added bonus of never having to come into contact with whiny prepubescent brats and cheating little pricks. Further, how MP runs doesn't really have much correlation with how SP runs, given the online dependency of MP which tends to absent in SP. Not to mention how the MP modes would bore me to death anyhow. So the end result of such a demo would be a lost sale due to boredom.

Probably not the effect they're looking for. So I'll just skip it. And may not pick up the game until it's cheaper... I certainly won't touch that "leaked" version. I have no interest in helping EA misinterpret piracy rates based on torrents.
