What do you guys think is a good game based on a not so good movie?
The only good movie tie-in game that comes to mind for me is Chronicles of Riddick, but I never saw the films.
I thought Spider man 2 had the rare privilege of being one of the only good movie tie-ins?

"Pitch Black" was okay, the second movie was so bad I can't even remember the name (they totally screwed the pooch by recasting the young girl from a bad ass tomboy in the 1st to some super model looking girl in the 2nd). I'm pretty sure they are working on a third.

OH I almost forgot my entry.

STAR WARS EVERYTHING. Even bad SW games are great and even shitty SW movies are great.
Shit, I just realized I misread the thread title. This SW bit doesn't really belong here. OOOPS.

Sure, but a lot of people also consider Spider-man 2 to be good. Now if it was Spider-man 3....

Aliens vs. Predator 1+2!!!
I know, doesn't count because they were not based on the AVP movies but the point remains.
Star wars Ep 3 was better than the film. Good graphics and awesome light saber battles!
Wolverine was also a good, violent game. Shit story but the game play definitely made up for it.

Though I liked both films, they could of been better.

They only predate the movies by atleast 5 years! haha

No, the 2nd movie.
X-Men Origins: Wolverine was one of the best I've played in a long time. A decent (and very gory) slasher based on a meh film.

Other than that, most of the best licensed games have been made well after the movie was released, which means by definition that the movie has left a lasting good impression (Godfather, Star Wars, The Warriors...)

Huh?

Yeah, sorry, I said game but I meant movie.

The second movie featuring the Riddick character was The Chronicles of Riddick.

Oh yeah, I thought that was just the subtitle. I'm having a serious brain fart right now.
The 16-Bit Judge Dredd game, at least in my opinion, was much better than the Sylvester Stallone film despite it's awesome cheesiness. Even though they weren't based on terrible movies, I feel like I must also bring up Bethesda's Terminator Future Shock and SkyNET games as being good games based on the Terminator franchise. I am surprised those games are almost completely unheard of, as Terminator games they are amazing and as average FPS games they were ahead of their time at least in Future Shock's case.
The Bourne Conspiracy. I know people like those movies but I absolutely can't stand them. After much consideration I bought the game used and it is great, so great in fact that after seeing it tell the story of the first movie I decided to see the whole trilogy to see what happens next. Only got so far as rewatching the first movie before calling it quits.

Unfortunately the rights changed hands so High Moon Studios never got around to making the sequels, but I definitely recommend the game.
