Even though my luck with random giveaways [the winning side of them] is horrible [I haven't won a single one :/], I figured I wouldn't let that stop me from giving away a spare key to Sword of the Stars.

This is just the base game, no expansion packs or anything - but the base game is still quite fun [if you are into 4X type games].

The contest is simple really - with the game in mind, write a short fictional piece about someone/something to do with your soon to be empire in the game [you don't have to be specific about the factions/tech if you don't wish]. The more creative the entry the better.

Don't worry if English is not your primary language, or if you have horrible grammar/typing skills [my grammar is not very good so who am I to judge eh? ;)]. I don't care if your piece is written "properly", just make it entertaining and creative.

NOTE: Please be kind and do not enter this contest if you have won anything at all from the GoG community in the past. Let people who haven't won anything get a chance at it please - it is an honor system, I won't go checking up on all of the various contest posts but I have much respect for the GoG community and am sure that people will be honest.

Deadline for the contest? Hmm, lets say Saturday night at 9pm US Eastern Time [I work til 9 so I can check after I get off work].
Wow.. nothing?

Hrm - maybe my bad luck at winning stuff is translating over to giving stuff away huh?

I guess I will give it til tomorrow morning or so and if no one bothers I will just randomly give the code away, or just tweet the danged thing for first come first serve.
Heh I bought the entire pack, so..... :-p
Nice idea.

Thinking this up as I type, so might be shit.

"As the liir battleship swung around into a firing posision, the final words of captain Smyth were: "I've been killed by flipper. How em-" He wasn't able to finish the sentance, as a mass-driver round, in a very unlikely event, had gone from one side of the hull to the other, with his torso inbetween. The sole suviving member of the bridge crew, Jace Renn, said she will never forget seeing a man's torso instantly reduced to a thin film of goo on every surface in the room."

Probably some obvious spelling mistakes. Oh well.

Good stuff :) - don't worry about spelling mistakes [If it wasn't for spell check I would have tons all of the time heh].

You are a front runner being the only entry so far, so you might just get the key by default.

Thank you for entering, and for putting the blurb in game terms :)
Well, only one contest entry so it is very easy to pick a winner eh?

@SELF - I will PM you the code.
