I try to limit myself, but it's hardly possible for me to just go one at a time, so it's about 2-3 at a time, with an emphasis on one title. I pick different genres for the set, one for the mind, and one for dexterity. I limit myself becouse there's nothing better than the feeling of accomplishment when you finish one game, so if I spread too much, I get to feel it less frequently.

I would say I used to be addicted. Ten years ago I would walk into a store and pick up three or four or five at a time, anything that seemed even halfway interesting. I'd get a mix of pc and console games. That died down a bit after I got a live-in girlfriend!
The last year-and-a-half has been really crappy, money-wise, so now I rarely have the luxury of buying anything that isn't necessary. Now I'm lucky to buy five a year, and not unless they're on sale or cheap. Part of it is simply wanting something new; no matter how much I love a game, after a while it can get old and I want a new experience, kinda like many things in life.
I usually focus on one game and have a few others that I play when I'm in the mood for something different.

I have come to the conclusion that I only play 1 game at a time, as I think about it when I not playing. i.e. what I will do next, or tatics change - or as it is at the min "hey Gerralt, you look a mean mother trucker, so why you keep on DYING !!! " lmao :)

I had that thought, but now we have 3 people trying to share 1 computer, so it eats into the time even more....

Plus I recently got an HTPC, so at least the kids can now watch YouTube videos on the TV, instead of hogging my wife's laptop. She's happy about that. (Positive reinforcement to having more PC's is always good.)
The main reason is to please the wife.

I have hopes of that, but my eldest is just coming up 4 years old so it'll be a while! My wife is not that keen on him growing up to be a couch-potato gamer like daddy either...

4 is good enough to start. My eldest is the same age as yours and she doesn't show any inclination towards gaming, but the two year old is already better than her at Mario Kart Wii so I figure that by age 3 he might be able to both understand and control the game.
