I would more say that PC gaming offers the right controls for every situation. First person shooter? Enjoy mouse control, unarguably the best way to shoot. Playing a third person action game or an old school platformer? Plug that pad in and get to work! Going for ultra realism in a sim? Plug in that wheel or joystick!
PC gaming lets you choose how you want to play much more than console gaming in general. That's why I like it so much.

Personally I lost Interest in the classic consoles when they got internet access.
My last ones have been PSP 1000 and Nintendo DS after MegaDrive and PSX/PS2
Everything else since then is too much borked to offer the easy "switch on and have fun"-experience, I expect from a console.
And Online Passes killed with DLC and limited harddrive space kille it completely for me.
I have DRM-issues already on my PC, I don't need a newgen Console for that.
The only non-borked 'console' conecpt right now is the iPad/iPod IMHO. I have em both,
cause they are the only ones to get that 'online-thing' right (and I do a lot of other stuff with it).
The WiiU WOULD have been on the right track, if your games were tied to you account and not to your hardware.
I am also a big Indie Game fan, they are just not available on consoles.
My point of view that might vastly vary from others.
Peace :)

I know we already had this debate and neither of us wants to relive it, but again, ports so bad they're worse than the console version are extremely rare. Plug in a pad and play it like a console game and you still almost surely have a higher resolution and framerate.

The fact that I stick around on the good ol' PC is because most of my favorite genres/game series are on it. And I don't have the money to spend on additional money black holes.
The last console I really played any amount of time was Playstation 1. The one I had the fondest memories of growing up was SNES.

You know that's just emulating the analog stick movement with a mouse right? It's not true support. I'll look more into it though, out of curiosity.

A handful of indies on PS3/Xbox stand against an army on PC.
unless you count the iOS/Android market into the consoles statistic, where 99.9% are
ruled by indies and AAA titles/ big companies are the minority.

Sorry for rambling. I'm not sure where I'm going with this.

It's all subjective though, I guess, outside the mouse being objectively more precise.
