In pre-launch interview on Shacknews back in 2008 Tom Ohle (CDPR US PR guy) said: "We do plan to offer community achievements, to reward getting involved on the forums, rating games, buying games, stuff like that. People will be able to submit their own game guides, screenshots, hints, all sorts of things."

After 4 years it's very interesting read.
What do you think about that forum badges/achievements thing? Previously The Witcher Forum (2nd one: 2007 - 2010) had that functinality, and it was quite usefull and entertainning, but it was mostly due to great moderation - no grinding was allowed.
I think that people involved in volontary tech support, modding, giveaways etc. should be somehow rewarded and distinguished from the crowd by something more than reputation system.

If not, tell me why you think other way.
