YAY got my code!
Meh... wake me up when EA appear and bring the original C&C and Red Alert with them ;)
I was turned off this game when I heard about the Ubisoft-like 1984 DRM they're using in the game. But now they've fired the development team before they've even finished the game. It's like we've still got EA's piss poor customer treatment with DRM coupled with their poor treatment of development teams and the resultant impact on their output too.
Basically, this shit represents a new low for the company.

Those games are both given away free by EA now. You don't need them here for that.

Yeah, you can download them from EA and there's installation instructions on how to burn them to disc and install them on those pages. They're the same versions as in the First Decade, but they were released for free after TFD. I suppose the argument is that there are a lot of other titles in TFD that justify the price.
Alternatively you can download them both from here.

Great thanks for the heads up :)
Will be having fun with them later :)
I tried the beta and played 2 matches. Game is really bad and it is a disaster, I can't belive this is a C&C game. It is like Dawn of War 2. No base building and you must capture the points the win the game. Gameplay is really bad and graphics are so old (I am not a graphics guy but they are really bad, worse than C&C 3 and Red Alert 3. So smart move from EA, I know this just a beta but I think I won't buy this game. I hope they will make Generals 2 but game mechanics will be the same with Generals 1.

No need to use a specific base build order which require hundreds of fast clicks? Capturing strategical points in a strategic game?
I might actually like this game.

I like CoH and DoW 2 too but this game is not funny, Anyway just try and see, also as I said this is not a C&C game. This is a different game and old C&C players won't like it.
I'm not a old C&C player because I hate that kind of game. To much dependant on reflexes. Give me turnbased or slow continuous time strategy.
So therefore I'm interested.
BTW is it fast? With fast I mean like a C&C game.
Do it use the rock\paper\scissors unit combat system and if so how important is it? I hate when it's too important.
