Yep, that was the trick. Altough some words required to change the order: first letter up, second down and so on.

You ignored newlines, the script I used to generate it didn't. It actually goes up/down based on the characters position (mod 2).

Was there something in particular that tipped you off what the method was?

I know I was (a lot!) later than Ghildrean, but for me , it was trying a Caeser cypher and seeing 'T*E' coming up a few times for the word 'THE' . I then looked at the middle letter and it became clear...

The first word had for me some sort of sequence. I thought that maybe changing the letters to the next/previous one I could find something. When I saw that worked, I tried the "here we are" part and saw that they also worked. I nearly translated the entire message by looking at it after getting the trick.

The biggest clue that I am not a millionaire is the lack of gift codes for a random game in every single one of my posts :P That would be awesome.

I'd also see if GOG would let me pay them to be an employee.

There isn't a singular reason but basically "It's good". I get to make others happy, support DRM free games and be part of this community - what's not to like? :)

Don't be naive. Every gift from xyem is infected with a virus which when activated turns you into a mindless zombie. It's just one small part of his plan to take over the world. It's too late for me (I'm already infected, accepted a gif), but you can still save yourself!
