No, not talking about cloned games. There is actually a game called "Clones", and it has been released this week on Steam.

Aftter waiting so much for GOG to release a Lemmings Collections of some sort (which they stil have yet to do), this indie developer released a 'clone' of Lemmings called Clones.
By the way guys, it's like... awesome! Probably one of the biggest indie game I've ever seen, with so much content, CGs, level editor, online multiplayer and so on.

Being a HUGE Lemmings fans I couldn't be any more happier! Some earlier levels looks too much like lemmings, but the later ones with new gadgets, different gravity, and such will blew your mind. Not trying to promote the game in any way, just happy that I could finally get some Lemmings after all.

(ps: by the way, by the price the game is a steal. I swear it could sell easily for $20,00)

Sony own Lemmings so this is the closest you are ever going to get to it.

REALLY??? Oh well... I had BIG hopes for a Lemmings Collection here (Lemmings, Oh No More Lemmings, Lemmings 2, Lemmings Paintball, Lemmings Revolution, 3D Lemmings). Maybe one day they will release Sony games here? Ok ok, not going to happen.

Still, not so devastated about it with Clones being available now. Check it out if you want, there's a demo.
I may be completely crazy, but I don't think the idea of getting old Sony-owned Psygnosis games here is completely out of the question. I mean, Sony do have a reasonably big PC-presence (mostly concerned with MMOs, but still...), and unlike Microsoft they don't have anything to lose by supporting GOG.

Anyway, Steam actually recommended Clones today, and I found the description quite interesting. Too busy with other games to buy it yet, but it'd be nice to see what you guys think of it.
Can you post a link to this "Clones" game? Google doesn't help with such a search name ...

Nah you are not crazy, I mean anything could happen. The only obstacle really is getting interest from Sony. Like you said they have their SOE interests but that's about it. They have re-released Lemmings but only on the PSP and I think Lemmings 3D made it's way to the PSN. Psygnosis had a lot of hits before Sony bought them* after they produced Wipeout but it remains to be seen if they have any interest in retro games other than cheap PSN titles.

* Except Shadow of the Beast. It may have been a commercial hit but jesus it was a bloody awful game that I never want to see again. About the only thing of interest was the multi-layer paralax scrolling which is the only thing reviews of the time talked about.
Man, I wish I could get a psp just to play the new lemmings game there.

By the way, I edited the first with some links.
I feel like it's the game Creatures mixed with lemmings just so they don't get sued. Still, how can I complain about that?!
Clones is on sale for 50% off this week! The multiplayer is crazy awesome and I will be trying out the level editor to make some puzzles too.

It was on sale for $2.50 at steam afew days ago, but that's ended. I played the demo and I liked it. It seemed like a game I'd really enjoy but I didn't buy it because only of my backlog. Looking back I wished I bought it instead of Buckets of Blood

Well. Pingus is old news.
I like the look of the game ... actually, that's not true. I like the IDEA of the game ... but I don't really like the actual LOOK. It looks ... needlessly complex. The interface looks busy, the backdrops distract yet offer little atmosphere, the game itself looks very artificial. In the end that's why I didn't buy it when it was on sale. Games such as these need to be tightly focussed on what is going on and distracting add to the frustrations when the game gets harder. Those rotating gears don't do anything yet they rotate ... why?

I'm very harsh here and the game itself doesn't deserve it but as a graphic designer I'm extra touchy about such mistakes and I LOVE Lemmings games and to see such a fun game get marred by a look that is pretty average at best ... If a decent artist had gotten his hands on this thing, it would have been an instant buy for me.

Agreed. I might just go ahead and try demo that may prove me wrong, but lemmings + utter chaos = bad.
