I don't think either of those things, but I do think that the game doesn't look like a piece of shit. It looks neat.

That's actually not too far from the truth. Actually they have forsaken us as well... Do you honestly think DRM would even be a factor if pirates weren't stealing games from torrent sites & whatnot?

Yes. I don't agree with piracy, but neither do I believe that they wouldn't use DRM if piracy didn't occur, they just use it as a convenient excuse. DRM enables them to control how many copies of a game you have, make you buy more than one if you want a copy on your laptop and desktop, etc. Take the music industry: they try their hardest to make it so that you have to buy the same song repeatedly for different formats. It is all about control.
