Roberttitus: Ummmm....what?

Need I direct you to the 3,000 rereleases of Namco Museum, Street Fighter II & Sonic the Hedgehog?
OK, Street Fighter II has not been released, completely unchanged, on a modern console for about £40/$60. SSFII Turbo was released as a download game on Xbox Live and PSN, but with redrawn sprites, re-recorded music, redrawn portraits and even then, it was about £10. Mario All-Stars was released recently, totally unchanged, for the price of, say, Dead Space 2, Halo Reach or DC Universe Online (if not more, actually).

A few years ago Nintendo released a bunch of NES games on the GBA for £20 - for that price you could get one of those Capcom, Namco or Sega arcade collections with about 25 games on the disc.

I'm not really interested in seeing console games on the PC; however, I can see the advantage of it for people who may have never played an original console title.

I think Nintendo is the one company you can forget about immediately as they are the kings of repackaging older titles for newer systems.

I really feel that GoG should keep its focus on older PC games. So called abandonware is a great place to look for potential GoG releases.

Just because you aren't aware of it, doesn't mean that it doesn't exist.

*EDIT* I just noticed that the last sentence there may have sounded confrontational. I assure you that it isn't...

The probably will expand to consoles games in the future, but im not sure with what they will start. My guess would be Sega Classics as you all have predicted. Not sure if the companies are entirely interested in taking old games back to the PC though there may be a nice market in for them if they do, since many people would like to play their old console games but are missing one of the consoles needed or only own a PC all together.
