StingingVelvet: Maybe I'm weird but Civ is the kind of series where I really only care about playing the latest one, or maybe the one before that. It's not a story heavy game with a unique experience.

Though I guess for people more into strategy than I am the different rules would make each game unique.
Ehh. I would probably argue that it's like picking your favourite console: you'll probably pick your first console, largely because of nostalgia. Same principal (probably) applies here.
I have two versions of Civ 2- one works in Vista 64 bit (no high council but everything else seems good) and the other absolutely can not run.

The good news is it is possible for you to play Civ 2. The bad news is I don't remember where or how I got the working version.
I'd like Alpha Centauri Planetary Pack. I have that, never before been used, don't know if it'll work on Vista 64. But I'd like a DRM free GOG version either way.

I may have to try it out soon.

About Civ, I'd like the original release as well. It holds great nostalgic value to me, as it was my first serious strategy game ever - and one of the only ones as well. I was never really big on strategy games, but Civ is something special. I played the Amiga version, though, but I believe the DOS version is equally as good (if not better).

I'd also like the original Colonization to be released. And the original Pirates!. Hell, I'd like every game Sid Meier ever made to be released on GOG. He's a God among men. Covert Action as well, although I have very little experience with that one - but it's supposed to be pretty good.
