I just downloaded Civilization 4 Complete from Amazon.com for only $7.49, and I thought that I'd share the news. There are two versions available, and one version is claimed to be DRM-free.

I downloaded the files, and there doesn't appear to be DRM. There are no activation codes, and an internet connection is not required for setup or play.

I wish I could buy the game from gog.com, but I always want to support great DRM-free games!
Is it just the base game, or does it got the expansions and colonization?
So, maybe Take Two will be finally here this year.
Here's the blurb from the Amazon game card:

"Now the complete Civilization IV experience is available, DRM (Digital Rights Management) free in Civilization IV: The Complete Edition. Containing the original Civilization IV strategy classic, plus both the Warlords and Beyond the Sword expansion packs and the standalone Colonization game in one box, it's an incredible value any gamer will cherish. "
Some time ago Amazon said that they will push for DRM Free games in their store, so maybe it's just Amazon exclusive.

But none exclusive is permanent!
Civ4:BtS and Civ4:C lost the DRM in retail patches.
What grviper said. My retail copy of Civ 4 Complete did not have DRM.

It's the Complete edition. Base game, expansions, and colonization.

Just grabbed it myself, excellent deal. :)

I hope too. They have many great games.
I have to say, I'm rather impressed with Colonization. I've never played the original, but I kind of assumed that the version that came with Civ IV would basically be the base game in a different area and with different win conditions, but it really feels like a legitimately separate (and excellent) game. Makes this deal even better. Also, I hear it''s quite close to the original so that's good. :)

No idea, but it's marked as Delphine Software International / VectorCell
