Anyway to choose what patches to install in Steam? I wanna replay Empire: Total War and there's this patch that makes the game's words blurry and very hard to read on the eyes. If Steam updates, it updates to the latest version, if I stop updates it'll probably run without any patches.

No, since everything is autopatched the latest version for your CONVENIENCE. So if you feel inconvenienced by it, then you're one ungrateful bastard. :P

Or maybe there's an unofficial patch/fix that address your specific problem out there? Try asking around in the game forum...

Hmmm, great, first Mafia 2 now this. Steam "FTW" I guess.

It seems to happen only with Nvidia cards. The words are blurry as if you've choosen a different resolution other than your native resolution when you're already on your native resolution. No solution yet from forums I've browsed so far. No give a damn by CA as well as per normal.
