PS: regardless of the existence of a charity promo, I encourage as many people as possible to have a look at the worldbuilders website, support the action and promote it.

Someone is maybe overreacting a little bit here. I can accept that you do not like Patrick Rothfuss (but why is there a need to directly insult him?) but what's the issue in giving to a charity cause while getting something in return (and it does not mean that donations can be done directly when the fundraiser is over).
