I usually only use Paypal for paying at GoG, because direct debit is the easiest way to pay oversea.
However, since last week did GoG remove the direct debit/giropay system at the Paypal payment and instead I have to register a credit card in order to pay them. Or stock my account up with a transfer.
I can really live with just stocking up my account, but is this only happening to me or is anyone else experience this aswel?

Haven't bought anything since then so I can't say. However you can simply add a pre-paid credit card to your account and when the money runs out, you'll still be able to buy instantly (money will come from bank acct).

You might want to check with PayPal to see if they made changes themselves. Usually, when a payment option offered via PayPal is changed, it's done on their end to comply with local regulations.
At least every time PayPal has altered payment options for Japan, they've sent out emails explaining why it was changed and when the change will take effect.

I guess so. I reached negative saldo last week because I forgot to restock my bank account, but I undid the negative balance on Paypal. Now the direct debit option is off. It's not of a big loss. Well, I guess this explains it.

If you had a negative balance in your Paypal account, that may also be what did it. The same thing happened to a friend of mine, and his ability to use direct debit was revoked.

Well, they can't trust me anylonger, hm? Can't really blame them.
