Barefoot_Monkey: No, not like that. More like what you'd expect from a single-player game - except with more than one player.
So it's 2 singleplayer games where the players don't interact with each other at once in the same game. That certainly sounds new, but not so exciting.
Uh. Not meaning to end the thread and make everybody cry, but co-op IS multiplayer.

Not meaning to save the thread but Yerli used "singleplayer for two" as a figure of speech to emphasize that they want to create a coop game that has the design and quality of a singleplayer game. There's nothing wrong in using paradox expressions if they deliver a certain message, and this statement defnitely did.

Maybe one of the players will be the shopkeeper who sits around all day and sells a few items to the hero every now and then.
Anyway, this talk about a game offering "singleplayer experience for multiple players" reminds me somewhat of TOR (not that I played it - I'm reminded of the vague image in my head generated from snippets of reports about it). I believe that one worked out really well, didn't it? Let's see where this Crytek project goes...
Are we still taking Cevat seriously? He doesn't even know what he's talking about.
my goodness all that piracy of Crysis must have hurt his ego so hard it broked his mind and sanity to the pointt that now he is saying illogical things he is really entitled for massive sales because Crysis has so hard to make.

Yet the very core of what a singleplayer game is is defined by there being only one person. Most coop games have stories and a tighter focus that "multiplayer games" so I don't get this new concept he is offering other than just being a stupid way to answer a question without saying "no fuck singleplayer."

Until we see how his new game does, I'm withholding my judgement. I don't like it, but that doesn't mean that it can't be a great game or very successful.
