Is there a list anywhere of when things have been updated on GoG? I want to go through what I've got installed and see what needs to be redownloaded, but there's no easy way to do this, as far as I can tell.

Thanks.

It would be nice if the downloads were dated. Also, since we need to be logged in they could track our downloads and date them. Then when a new update is available it could be flagged.

I'm sure they would make a news post about any updated installers. Not sure if any have actually been updated.
They claimed to have made several games compatible with Windows 7. I don't know if they've updated the installers or just verified that they work as is, but it'd be really nice to see if anything has been updated.

They don't, and they have. HOMM2 for example, used to come with the original redbook audio. Now it comes with .ogg rips. I have no idea why, and I certainly haven't seen a post from GOG about it.

There was such a post for Divine Divinity when it was patched, but it was more as a comment in one of the complaint threads, at least when it happened.

I'm trying to avoid going to each individual game thread, searching all the forums, skipping the mention of patches that are third party stuff...

I too would love to have such a feature, it would be great if either the new version of the downloader was able to tell is a game has been updated or not or at the very least have the last update date in your account's games page.
I would welcome a sticked thread concerning updated exe's and wonder why it has not already been implemented.

Edit: I mean ANY change to an exe whether it is an improvement to the game or a new version level.

This is one thing that GOG really needs to start doing. Perhaps in the form of those pop-up window thingies in the top right. "game update (2)" or something.

There is a sticky in the HOMM forums, saying they have updated the .exe

Perhaps that is what you were talking about?

From the few games I've looked at (doing checksums of the installer), it seems they just verified that it works.

That would be the way to go. Perfect.

I'm sure it is. However, I'm not about to check each and every game forum looking for a post that may or may not be there, about updates to the installer.

Besides, that post still doesn't say anything about why the redbook audio was removed. In fact it doesn't mention it at all.

They really should make update information available on the game page itself. A changelog would be nice too. And they should make a post in the general forum when they make updates. They make one whenever they add a new wallpaper to a game, why shouldn't they do the same when they update the game itself?
