all of a sudden no microphone that I plug into my computer seem to work, I'm using skype and I don't seem to hav echanged any installations on either skype or the computer myself. What could be the rpoblem! still, people can hear me plug my microphone in and out, and skype recognices that plugin/out sound aswell, but not when im talking. help plz!

Schoolboy error, but check your volume control and make sure that all the volumes are maxed out.

Actually, I recall having a similar issue - what I ended up doing was trying different inputs and outputs in Skype. Maybe try that, if you haven't already.
