gameon: Unfortunately the chances of someone owning a mac and disciples 2, also with a GOG account, is looking like a rare amount. So rare that nobody has been able to answer that guys question for months.
Well, I replied to his post, and I'm downloading the demo to see if it'll work in CrossOver or Wineskin. Anyone care to gift me Disciples 2 Gold so I can do compatibility testing for it? :)

gameon: Well done with the effort. I would have thought a demo would be similar to the real deal.
The problem here is that demos aren't necessarily indicative of the final product. Often they're based off of earlier builds of the final game, so while getting the demo to work is one piece of evidence that it might work, it's hardly a smoking gun. I've actually been burned several times on games which worked fine in the demo, but less than optimally in the final, updated game. One example is Divine Divinity, which suffers from a really annoying flashing cursor bug which didn't seem to crop up in the demo.

gameon: True, games can be alot more stable and compatible in the full versions.

For what its worth, i'd recommend that guy to get Heroes of might and magic 3 instead. I couldn't get into disciples 2 (just realised i have it on steam)
So the demo works perfectly for me - Huh. Go figure. (Core Duo MacBook/64 MB GMA 950, 10.6.8, CX11.01) - the game looks gorgeous, but damned if I can figure out what the hell I'm doing. (HoMM 3's graphics aren't nowhere near as nice as Disciples 2, but HoMM 3's interface is definitely more intuitive and easy to navigate.)

Well, this is getting off-topic, but you can rearrange your units so that melee units are on the front line, and ranged units are on the back line. Some units take two spaces, don't have to worry about front line/back line when it comes to those.
