i bought the dlc for M&B napo and it is saying that it requires parent game (mount and blade) even though i own it do i have to finish the setup for the game before i can do it? plz help

Oh boy, sorry to tell you but you need Mount and Blade Warband and not the original that was given by gog.

You don't. Only the original was free.

I assumed you needed the orginal, and the others were DLC's, so warband is M&B 2
